Join us for Community Fun Day in Eastside St. Paul! An annual event co-hosted by Metro State University's Library and the Dayton's Bluff branch of the Saint Paul Public Library. This FREE outdoor event for area youth and their families starts at 11:00 a.m. and will feature lawn games, free books for kids courtesy of The Free Book Buggie, a fire truck and firefighters from Saint Paul Fire Department until 12:00 p.m., a PopUp Papermaking Shop and other arts and crafts, food, and much more! It all concludes with a live puppet show performed by Open Eye Theatre at 1:00 p.m.; guests are invited to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the show! This year, Metro State is celebrating 20 years of partnership with Saint Paul Public Library. When constructed in 2004, the Library and Learning Center was the first joint-use library in Minnesota to house both an academic library and a public library, and is one of only seven such libraries in the United States.
